Gregory S. Hollister, a New York State native, retired from the United States Air Force with the rank of Colonel after more than 20 years of service. Greg graduated from the US Air Force Academy in 1978 with BS degrees in Management and Economics. He was later a distinguished graduate, with an MS degree in Telecommunications, from the University of Colorado, Boulder. Greg also is a graduate of the Marine Corps Command and Staff College, the Armed Forces Staff College, the Air Command and Staff College, Air War College and Army War College. He held numerous commands, from Detachment to Group levels, while on active duty, including a stint as a Vice Wing Commander.

Greg possesses specialty skills in space, communications and information technology. While on active duty he was responsible for sustainment and communications support for the Air Force Satellite Control Network, providing telemetry, tracking and commanding for over 110 DoD satellites.
